Sharisse Tracey mom of four, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, raised in the Southern California sun and remained in the golden state for three decades. “While my role as an Army wife takes me around this great country of ours, I will always be a Cali girl.” A military marriage allowed this unseasoned Army wife to dip herself into some southern living and reside in three states in a few short years. It was there she learned how to really make a favorite of hers, sweet tea, and why you don’t need a the, in Waffle House. This Real Housewife of Orange County New York turned her key in the OC of NY for five years before moving to a suburb of Seattle, Washington just in time for them to win the 2014 superbowl. Sharisse holds a MFA in Nonfiction from The New School’s Writing Program, an M.S. in Educational Counseling from The University of La Verne and a B.S. in Child Development from California State University Northridge. In 2011, former professor and mentor, Kyle Minor, author or Praying Drunk and In The Devil’s Territory named Sharisse as one of the best writers to not yet have a book in their Best of 2011, Part 1 series.
